Quality build - in a full metal case the build quality is excellent. Size - at just over 11 inches long and a height of just under 1 inch it can be mounted underneath or on the back of your computer desk. No wasted space - the case is only slightly larger than the area for ports. Easy to mount - a couple of screws to mount it

Cheap Gigabit

Received the New version4 hardware that uses Realtek RTL8367. v4 has lower power consumption and supports 15K

Bought one of these to replace another basic gigabit switch I was using. With the other switch, multicast packets were flooding the LAN, causing my 3Com AP to freak out once per week. Hopefully it should be more reliable so I'll need to keep an eye on it and see if it helps the issue I was having, though it already seems much more stable so far.

The MS305 (pay attention to the model number when purchasing) is a fine addition to a home network, especially with moving moderately large amounts of data between devices (pictures, streaming, archives) internally or via the Internet.

I renewed my network with all Unifi, and it all works great! 6 of these switches, 5 UAP AC PRO wifi access points, USG, and CloudKey. Finally installed ethernet through the house, to take advantage of gigabit FiOS, and wired everything except mobile devices and stuff without ethernet connections.
