The APC 1500 is a great unit. I have 4 of them in my house, running various equipment. It can even power my 60" LCD TV and DVR for about 25 minutes! The LCD display on this APC is nice to see how much wattage the equipment is pulling. For testing, I've plugged in various household items just to see their wattage draw. Lots of plugs: 5 surge, 5 battery.

Small/efficient design Flexible PoE output

Port mirroring Inexpensive Easy to use

great software and easy setup. I used 2 3.5 dives - a WD and a Seagate with no recognition issues.

Small, sturdy design Nice looking face plate

This is the original replacement battery and will fit perfectly.

Loaded up VMware ESXi 8.x ISO via Remote KVM IPMI and installed without an issue for an Asrock AMD R9 5900X build.

well performing

Good fit, easy install. Hardware was included. I used this mount to install an internal card reader in a 5.25" drive bay and it worked as intended.

This UPS was a great solution to support networking equipment (modem, router, switch) that I installed in my basement. It has lots of outlets and the size of the unit was perfect for mounting on the network wall panel.

Purchased 2 of these on sale and they work perfectly. with the spreading of sockets on one side it is easy to plug in power adapters with built-in transformers at the plugged. Great buy at $29.99 when I purchased in March 2013 and remains the same today.

*12Gb SAS -- Insanely fast (was able to read ~7300 MB/s from a large SSD stripe V-Dev) *LSI so you know it runs flawlessly out of the box on Linux *It's not a RAID card, just a pure host bus adapter that doesn't get in the way *Absolutely perfect HBA for a ZFSonLinux box (probably works well on *BSD too) *Supports 24 direct connections to drives or passive/direct backplane, or up to 1024 drives through expanders

I work in music recording/mixing studio environments and am extremely fussy about equipment that generates noise. I'm pleased to say that after several months of continuous use, this Li-Ion APC rack unit met and possibly exceeded expectations. When in ideal conditions, the unit is literally silent. No fan noise, no hum, no buzz. The only time noise has been observed is either when the unit is charging (due to a power failure) where very minimal self-noise is inevitable, or in an under-voltage condition (117V or under) where the internal circuitry activates in order to boost the output voltage. In comparison to APC's own legacy units (ie: 2U 750VA-1500VA lead acid monsters) which I have been using for over 15 years - they had frequent noticeable cooling fan noise, and could produce undesirable self-noise when approaching maximum load. And anecdotally, I have had one or two units fail over the years and drop the load.
