I use this in a USB enclosure for periodic backups. So far, it's worked great. Transfer speeds over USB 3.0 seem to be about 100 MiB/sec for large files.

This is a nice 1TB enterprise Seagate drive in a 2.5" form factor. I'm running this drive in a workstation. It came with a 5 year warranty. (Please note, this most likely will not fit in a laptop, if that is what you are seeking to do. It is much taller than a typical laptop drive.) So far, I'm very happy with it.,

Once received I ran a hard disk surface test lasting around 13 hours resulting in zero bad/weak sectors. As of this review I have had the drive for five weeks and my hard disk monitoring software continues to give it a clean bill of health. Seems fast for a 2TB 5400 rpm drive.

Nice, small form factor, high capacity, and speedy 2.5" drive. I had had this unit in service for over a month now and it has worked like a charm in my laptop, not only does it run at a decent speed, but it allows me a massive storage upgrade for my portable machine. It runs cool and quiet. Pretty speedy for a 5400 RPM drive. Lots of space in a small package. I had no trouble getting this drive to run in a Core 2 Duo based laptop, a massive upgrade to my mobile storage!
