Based on the widely accepted and proven HelioSeal platform, the Ultrastar He8 offers up to 8TB capacity, ideal for enterprise application, data center, Cloud storage and RAID system. HelioSeal technology replaces air with helium inside the drive, reducing air turbulence and enabling 7Stac, a seven-disk design in a traditional 3.5-inch form factor. Specs-wise, this HDD boasts 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gbps host interface, and 128 MB Cache. The Ultrastar He8 also runs cool and quiet with excellent power efficiency (Watts/TB) and no-compromise performance, laying foundation for future growth in massive scale-out environments.

Features like Rebuild Assist dramatically reduce RAID rebuild times and maintain system performance during the rebuild process.
